Help Stray Cat Colonies
Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) programs sterilize all members of outdoor cat colonies, eliminate future births and reduce the size of these colonies over time. Feral adults cats (also known as community cats) can return to their home territory, while young kittens can be adopted into loving forever homes. Both McSNIP and People For Animals handle feral cat surgeries.
EASEL can provide traps, training and other resources for local residents. Email our TNR team firstname.lastname@example.org
Other help with TNR? Forgotten Cats operates clinics at two locations to provide spay/neuter for cats. Please go to http://www.forgottencats.org/clinic.php for details. EASEL commends Forgotten Cats for providing this much needed service locally, where cat overpopulation has become a major problem. EASEL supports TNR, and groups like this make it possible.
EASEL has established relationships to provide affordable veterinary care to help ensure that animals do not leave our local shelter without being spayed or neutered! If you would like to sponsor a spay/neuter, please indicate your preference in the “Comments” section on the registration form for dog, cat or feral cat. These homeless and needy animals will truly benefit from your life saving donation! Click here to sponsor.
Both the West Trenton Animal Hospital and Lawrence Animal Hospital have generously agreed to spay and neuter shelter dogs through EASEL, in line with what a low-cost clinic would charge. These are top-notch facilities, so we know that the animals we take there receive the highest level of care.
Animal Alliance clinic - EASEL has also partnered with Animal Alliance to provide low-cost spay/neuter for our shelter animal dogs in Lambertville (across from New Hope).
Dog owners who need spay/neuter assistance
EASEL offers assistance to people who would like to get their dogs altered, but do not have the financial means to do so. We can get appointment at one of our vets at a reduced fee – or no fee – depending on the financial circumstances.
Pet overpopulation can’t be solved by adoption alone. Spay or Neuter your Pets!
