Success Stories - Betty :

Betty was with us for a while.  She came in with scars and signs that she had been used for breeding and had been in some fights.  She was naturally fearful of other dogs and initially would lash out when other dogs were close.  Volunteers worked with her and over time she became very tolerant of other dogs, choosing to focus her attention on her handler rather than other dogs.  She was one of the most affectionate dogs that we have had and just loved to climb into a person’s lap.   This is from her adopters: “Just wanted to let you know Betty has adjusted well to her new home.  We are enjoying her very much.  Your assessment of her was right on, although I must say I was leary.  She is just a love.  Still unsure of her social skills with other dogs, but hopefully that will be ok as time goes on.  May all your dogs be like Betty, and may they all find a loving home.  She has been with us now for 2 months and you would think it was 2 years.”
